Before The Fearsome Tiger Year

I'm in SEGAMAT! It's been a really long time since I last came home. I guess, 3 months? Yeah, I didn't manage to arrange a time to come back, so it kinda delayed until the new year break. So since now I have all the time in the world to blog, let's see...

Last weekend, me and Sally decided to celebrate our Valentine's Day earlier. No choice ah, since it's on the same day as CNY and I gotta go back to my family and spend some time in Malacca. But yeah, she's still gonna join me in Segamat Resort on the 17th. Meantime, we'll just stay at home and miss each other. LOL.

On Saturday, we went for a movie in the evening. We watched Tooth Fairy. Erm, okok lah, not a very serious movie but it managed to tickle my funny bone abit. After that, we went to Tao's Restaurant for dinner. We needed good and affordable food, so I did abit of research on the web and found that this place has got quite a few good reviews. Modern pacific cuisine. Yum yum, take a look..

Hmm, I wasn't looking at the camera :P

A couple of refreshing love potion.

Bacon and mushroom gratin.

Fruit and salmon salad.

Mushrooms! Sally loves 'em.

Ah.. They call it the rose apple tea.
But it's not made from the rose apple fruit.
It's just rose and apple mixed together.
Very refreshing nonetheless.

Cream mushroom and sharkfin melon herbal soup.

Very nice and tender pork rib.
Highly recommended!

Sally had a little lamb... little lamb... little lamb

Poached pear.

Cheese cake, which is not as good as Sally's.

Ok, so as usual, like last year, I went to the florist again to get some red roses. When I was at the counter, I saw this really cute, white teddy bear. Being my usual self, I gave it a gentle pat on the head. LOL. The lady behind the counter found it amusing and thought that I liked it, so she brought me to see a few "rose patterned bear" to go with the flowers. Well since this is the first time I've heard of such plush toys, I thought it'd be a really nice surprise for Sally.

On Sunday morning, I went to collect them before I headed to CCK. The florist kept both the flowers and the bear in the refrigerator. I wonder why. Was the weather too hot for the bear? Did the bear refuse to let go of the flowers? Ok, never mind. Thankfully the journey was bearable, unlike last year when I sent flowers to Sally on her birthday. Ok not gonna repeat the story.

Sally looks happy with her flowers and bear.

Aww... Forever friends!

I've got a gift and card too! Luxury bed sheets :D

For lunch, we met up with Sally's friends to celebrate Juliana's belated birthday at Watami in Central. The food was good. Lian did a good job selecting all the dishes and you should really see her kung fu style of picking. Extremely fast. Give her the menu and she goes like "I want this, this, this, this and this" and before you know it, all the yummy food appeared! This one must learn from her ah. Very convenient. Usually I have a hard time trying to decide what to eat.

Juliana making a million-dollar-wish.

Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the food we ordered in Watami. So yeah, that's about our weekend. I'll blog again after CNY so hopefully there'll be more stories to report!
